Following releases of rare and fairly exotic food items in the past few months such as their Capn' Crunch Doughnuts, it's been made clear that Taco Bell is willing to go to great lengths to promote their breakfast menu - and on Cinco De Mayo, this will also include free Biscuit Tacos!
A few months back, and long before free Biscuit Tacos had been announced, Food World News reported on the new food item in the company's Tex-Mex menu, a follow-up to their widely publicized Waffle Taco and, much like its predecessor, it's not really so much an actual "biscuit taco" as it is a biscuit shaped like a tortilla.
According to Food Beast, Taco Bell recently announced its intention to hand out free Biscuit Tacos during breakfast hours on May 5th, namely Mexican national holiday Cinco de Mayo; patrons can get their free breakfast on any of its varieties, from 7 to 11am in the chain's participating restaurants across the country - or until they just run out of them.
Bustle reports that Taco Bell made the announcement about their new Cinco de Mayo promo through Periscope, a livestreaming app - and later they posted an announcement on the official website for their Breakfast Defector campaign.
There will be four types of free Biscuit Tacos: sausage, eggs and cheese; bacon, cheese and an egg; sausage and cheese and sausage and gravy - all of which can be consumed during breakfast hours at Taco Bell!
The Inquisitr reports that there won't be free Biscuit Tacos in plural for patrons, but if you decide you're still not satisfied with your breakfast, you can still buy one at its usual price, which at $2.49 a piece really isn't all that much for something so packed with food (and calories).
The free Biscuit Tacos are Taco Bell's second Cinco de Mayo special announcement following the release of their limited edition Diablo hot sauce, supposedly their spiciest yet.
