As the stars of "Avengers: Age of Ultron" tour the world for the premiere of the film, the cast is currently in London for the major event, which means they're going through rounds of interviews pertaining the movie - but one reporter went too far, asking the actor questions about Robert Downey Jr.'s father.
Downey, currently the highest-paid actor in Hollywood and someone who's been in show business for around 30 years, has been candid in the past about his struggles with addiction and his relationship with his family, including Robert Downey Jr.'s father - however, as he was barely promoting his most recent superhero movie in a short-time interview in passing, the questions seemed inappropriate.
According to The Daily Mail, the actor had walked to the interview, made by UK's Channel 4, in good spirits, as he talked to Krishnan Guru-Murthy - however, a few minutes into the interview, the reporter left the "Age of Ultron" questions behind and started getting a bit too personal, asking the actor about his feelings having spent time in jail and even Robert Downey Jr.'s father.
The Guardian reports that, while the interview started normally, later on Guru-Murthy asked him about comments Downey made in 2008 about his political views and whether he was a liberal, to which the "Chaplin" actor graciously replied that opinions change - but the interviewer kept on pushing until reaching his drug past and Robert Downey Jr.'s father.
It was exactly at the point when Guru-Murthy asked about Robert Downey Jr.'s father that the actor asked the reporter what were they doing, getting up and leaving the interviewer - and making headlines all over the world for doing so.
It's not the first time that Guru-Murthy makes news after uncomfortable interviews, as back in 2013 there was a similar situation with "Pulp Fiction" director Quentin Tarantino.
In any case, according to The Mirror, the fact that Downey stormed out of the interview has created controversy, as social media users take sides, with some thinking the actor had to answer to the questions with others being under the opinion the context was all wrong for the in-depth interview.
In any case, you can watch the controversial interview below, up to the point when the actor is asked about Robert Downey Jr.'s father.
