Kurt Cobain Beatles: ‘And I Love Her’ Beatles Cover By Nirvana Singer Unearthed 20 Years After Kurt Cobain Death [AUDIO]

There are few figures in rock and roll as tragic as that of the Nirvana frontman, as he amassed amazing success in his early life without being able to escape the demons of addiction and depression, which turned him into an icon for years to come - and the newly released Kurt Cobain Beatles cover cements that status even further.

It's been 21 years since Cobain took his own life in 1994, but the legacy of the "Smells Like Teen Spirit" singer lives on, after also leaving behind his then-wife Courtney Love and their daughter Frances, who is now an artist, but the new Kurt Cobain Beatles cover will probably come followed by millions of fans crying.

According to Rolling Stone, the recently released Kurt Cobain Beatles cover, along with a set of unreleased bootlegs by the grunge superstar, is part of the upcoming documentary "Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck," directed by Brett Morgen.

As Pitchfork reports, the Kurt Cobain Beatles cover was only one of the hours' worth of personal tapes that belonged to the Nirvana singer, and the chilling and beautiful version of "And I Love Her" is one of them - which ultimately leaked online prior to the release of the documentary feature.

The Kurt Cobain Beatles cover was found in an old cassette belonging to the singer, and the song runs for less than two minutes - but that's more than enough to wonder fans of rock and roll in general and grunge in particular.

Ultimate Classic Rock reports that Morgen's "Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck" will be airing on HBO in a few weeks' time, and it'll tell Cobain's story through interviews, unheard songs and his own artifacts, mostly accounting for the singer's struggles in his personal life, much more than on his major success in the industry.
