Robot Chef: Futuristic Robot That Can Make Anything You Wish For From Simple To Elaborate Dish

Robot Chef, the sophisticated invention of London-based Company, Moley Robotics has launched a sample robot that can literally make a total of 2,000 dishes. Robo Chef was unveiled this week during Hannover Messe trade fair that was held in Germany by demonstrating tasty crab bisque.

Russian-born scientist and engineer now based in London, Mark Oleynik, invented the Robot Chef that was designed to imitate how human prepares dishes from simple to complicated recipes and can be installed at home, the Economist reports .

"You tell it to do something - whether it's a bit of prep or completing a whole dish from start to finish - and it will do it. And it will do it the same every single time."

Robo Chef was designed like a "mini-kitchen," complete with conventional appliances and utensils. It can prepare almost anything and can clean and serve dishes after cooking.  The advanced robot is designed with human-sized hands and has fingers and thumbs just like humans.

Robo Chef are made by a British firm, Shadow Robot the company that has been supplying world renowned organizations including America's space agency, NASA.

Moley Robotics has collaborated with Stanford University in California, and the Sant' Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, Italy to make Robo Chef.

Robo Chef was trained by 2011 BBC Masterchef champion, Tim Anderson. His skills in cooking was recorded and captured in a specialized studio while he wears motion-capture gloves.

"If it can mimic my hands and any chef's hands, then with some work on it there's no reason why it can't do just about anything; kneading bread, making sushi - all these things that are very hands-on, for lack of a better term. The scope of what it can do is almost endless," Anderson said.

According to its inventor, Mark Oleynik, his goal in inventing Robo Chef is to make everyday life easier and convenient, and to address basic human needs.

Robo Chef is targeted to be slated in 2017 and will be available for the price of £10,000 ($15,000), the Daily Star reports.
