Sarah Jessica Parker HBO: 11 Years After ‘Sex And The City,’ Carrie Bradshaw Actress Returns To TV For HBO ‘Divorce’ Comedy!

At the time of its release and further seasons (long before Lena Dunham's "Girls"), "Sex and the City" was considered one of the most revolutionary feminist television series in the history of television, and now, 11 years after it ended, fans will see Sarah Jessica Parker's HBO return!

The first Sarah Jessica Parker HBO show, "Sex and the City," saw Matthew Broderick's wife become a fashion icon, alongside co-stars Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, all of who ended up turning into superstars during the show's 9-season run.

As a matter of fact, Sarah Jessica Parker's HBO appearance also made her a multimillionaire and in all one of the richest women in television - so there's no surprise to see that she cares to repeat the experience!

According to Time Magazine, the new Sarah Jessica Parker HBO series, "Divorce," will see the actress who played Carrie Bradshaw walk the streets of New York onscreen once again, in a 30-minute comedy.

Vulture reports that the show will be a single-cam comedy that will tell the story of a "very, very long divorce" as Parker's character, Frances, has a revelation about her life and starts seeing everything around her, above all her marriage, in a different light - leading her to find new ground.

The new Sarah Jessica Parker HBO comedy will also star "Sideways" Oscar nominee Thomas Haden Church as her soon-to-be ex-husband, as well as "Saturday Night Live" alum Molly Shannon and "No Strings Attached" Talia Balsam as Parker's two best friends, guiding her through the whole process of divorce.

Apparently, "Flight of the Conchords" star and co-creator Jemaine Clement guest stars on the pilot.

Deadline reports that Irish writer and actress will pen "Divorce," after having previously worked in the UK on shows like "Bad Management" and "Catastrophe."

While it's disappointing that Sarah Jessica Parker's HBO return has nothing to do with "Sex and the City," it's still great to know she'll be back to the network that turned her into a superstar!
