Ever since the world found out the two stars of "The Amazing Spider-Man" were going out in real life, the Internet went crazy, dubbing Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield one of the cutest couples in Hollywood ... but now, rumors have begun surfacing as it seems they might be taking some time off each other.
Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield began dating in mid 2011, supposedly as they were shooting "The Amazing Spider-Man," where he played the title character and she portrayed Peter Parker's high school sweetheart, Gwen Stacy - and they've been together ever since, often being seen on dates in New York City looking absolutely adorable.
Now, according to Christian Post, Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield might be taking cues from classic sitcom "Friends," as they're now reportedly "on a break" as Ross and Rachel once were on the show; though it seems there was no third party involved, but rather very hectic working schedules for the two stars.
Seemingly, rumors about Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield breaking up first started earlier this year, when Stone was nominated for a series of awards (including an Oscar) for her performance in the Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu Best Picture 2015 winner "Birdman" and Garfield failed to join her at red carpet events.
Franchise Herald reports that Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield are currently many miles away from each other, which is what caused the decision to take a break from their relationship: he's currently in Taiwan shooting Martin Scorsese's passion project "Silence," while Emma has just finished filming the movie "Aloha" with Bradley Cooper.
Sources claim that, while it's too early to tell, things have gotten estranged with Garfield shooting the Scorsese film, as he's completely invested in the project. Previous reports throughout the past few months said that the couple had been privately discussing marriage.
"It's one of those situations where only Andrew and Emma quite know if they'll pick up where they left off or they've separated," a source told People Magazine.
Hopefully Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield will work things out and continue being the ridiculously adorable couple they always have been!
