Kit Kat Sandwich Is A Thing: Japan’s Latest WEIRD Fast Food Reaches Stores [PHOTOS+VIDEO]

If there's one thing the Japanese fast food public seems to be into is a variety of very odd choices of meals, as there are a lot of weird products in international chains that are only served in Japan, such as the infamous Burger King black burger from last year and, now, the Kit Kat sandwich.

In the past, Food World News has reported some of the oddest products to have been launched in Japan, including a line of KFC computer peripherals with a fried chicken theme and even a Burger King perfume that smells like a whopper - now, it's the Kit Kat sandwich reaching pallets in the Asian country.

As The Telegraph reports, the Kit Kat sandwich isn't all that surprising in the country, as Japanese consumers are famous for their love of the chocolate brand, having a wide variety of Kit Kat flavors such as cherry blossom, green tea and even soy sauce.

Taking this love into consideration, local fast food franchise First Kitchen just launched the Kit Kat sandwich, which has the delicious chocolate treat covered in whipped cream and orange peel, then covered by two slices of white bread - just like a regular snack.

According to The Huffington Post UK, the Kit Kat sandwich only costs 220 yen, which is about $1.8, so it's decidedly not a rip-off in that aspect.

The chain is currently promoting the sandwich, the chain says that it has "outstanding compatibility with coffee," so it they don't seem to be advertising the product as a lunch-dinner option but rather more of a breakfast thing, which would make much more sense.

Of course, those who love Japan treats and are currently in the Land of the Rising Sun have flooded YouTube with review videos of the new Kit Kat sandwiches, and, while tastes vary, most seem to agree that it's actually quite delicious.
