Are you one of the many breakfast skippers? Here are 5 valid reasons why skipping breakfast is a no-no!

Reason#1: Breakfast boosts metabolism.

If you want to have balance weight, then skipping breakfast must be the last thing in your mind. After long hours of sleep, you need fuel to get through the next morning. Since sugar drops down in morning, you need food to make this happen. Skipping meals slow down your metabolism.

When this happens, body also adjusts to whatever energy is available thus, instead of losing weight, you may notice that you're doing it wrong when you're skipping the first meal of the day. It's important to eat in the first two hours after waking up.

Reason#2: Breakfast provides energy.

Skipping breakfast is not good because you miss the needed energy that you should be getting for your needs.  You need to eat breakfast that supplies your required nutrients for your daily activities, Fitnea reported.

If you want to be an attentive student or employee, grab your cereal bowl in the morning and check the difference.

Reason#3: Breakfast makes your mind sharper.

Glucose comes from food. It is a brain fuel that you need to have sharper memory and focus.

Reason#4: Breakfast stabilizes blood sugar levels.

"When you go to bed, your insulin level is flat-not too low, not too high," lead study author Rania Mekary, PhD, Research Associate at the Harvard University School of Public Health in the Department Of Nutrition stated. "When you don't 'break the fast' in the morning, your insulin level drops-so when you have lunch later in the day, it's more likely to spike, then crash again."

In the recent research published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, the study revealed that skipping breakfast each week increases your danger in developing type 2 diabetes by 20 percent.

Reason#5: Breakfast helps you curb heart problems and other health complications.

Forbes reported that as sleep makes people fast for long time, regularly skipping breakfast puts stress on the body over time. It could lead to insulin resistance, blood pressure problems and hypercholesterolemia which all are contributing factor to heart disease.
