Angelina Jolie children must be really proud of their mom. The 39-year-old actor, director, proud mom of six, humanitarian and now, a self-proclaimed health advocate made a touching speech at the Nickelodeon's 28th Annual Kids' Choice Awards that tells every kid to be proud of who they are.
Angelina Jolie children, Shiloh, 8, and Zahara, 10 were there to witness the heartwarming speech of their mother. Angelina hit the headlines recently for writing "Angelina Jolie Pitt: Diary of a surgery, which was published in The New York Times.
In the essay, she admitted in public her second preventive surgery to remove her ovaries and fallopian tubes in order to remove her cancer risk. Two years back as written by Food World News, the 39-year-old director had double mastectomy.
"When I was little, like Maleficent, I was told that I was different. And I felt out of place -- too loud, too full of fire, never good at sitting still, never good at fitting in. And, then one day I realized something, something that I hope you all realize: Different is good," Angelina Jolie said in her speech.
"Don't fit in... don't ever try to be less than what you are, and when someone tries to tell you that you are different, smile and hold your head up high and be proud."
Angelina Jolie children and all the children watching her acceptance speech at the Nickelodeon's 28th Annual Kids' Choice Awards were surely thrilled on how Angelina detailed her childhood experience where she was treated different just like in her role in Maleficent, Vanity Fair reports.
In the article written by Lori Duron in Entertainment Online, she reported how Angelina Jolie children are so lucky for having her as their mother.
Duron, who has a son named CJ, but prefers to be called Rebecca, expressed her admiration towards Jolie, who has been very vocal about her health struggles, adoption of different children from various countries and how she accepts her daughter, Shiloh who prefer to be called John.
Angelina Jolie children are lucky for her braveness and understanding. Once the 39-year-old humanitarian claimed that she would never be the kind of parent to force somebody to be something they are not.
For her, it is just bad parenting. Children should be allowed to express themselves in whatever way they wish without anybody judging them because it is an important part of their growth. Society always has something to learn when it comes to the way we judge each other, label each other.
Shiloh, one of Angelina Jolie children must not be judged for being different.
All of Angelina Jolie children are named under their names: Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, Vivienne Marchelline Jolie-Pitt, Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt, Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt, Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt and Knox Leon Jolie-Pitt.
That night she accepted her award and made her acceptance speech, Angelina Jolie children were amongst the happiest children on earth. Being different is good, Angelina Jolie said to all the children in the crowd.
