Jesse Eisenberg Lex Luthor: First Look At ‘Social Network’ Star As Superman Archnemesis! [PHOTO]

A lot of expectation surrounds the "Man of Steel" sequel since it was announced to also feature Batman (with Oscar winner Ben Affleck in the role) and other members of the Justice League, including Wonder Woman (played by Israeli beauty Gal Gadot) and Aquaman (Jason Momoa), as well as featuring one of the main villains of DC Comics: Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor.

A few days ago, Gadot spoke about the criticism surrounding casting her as Wonder Woman due to her thin frame and, within the same week, there's a newly released picture of Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor that might make doubts from fans of the comic books disappear entirely.

Before the Jesse Eisenberg Lex Luthor photo was released, there have been other character posters out there, including one of Affleck as Batman, a fierce-looking Gadot as Wonder Woman and one of Jason Momoa as Aquaman that breaks all stereotypes of the role.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Zack Snyder, the director of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" showed the first-ever look of Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, also speaking about the role and how it's entirely different from anything else the world has seen of the millionaire villain, a character that has been played in the past by Oscar winners Gene Hackman and Kevin Spacey (in the Christopher Reeve films and the Brandon Routh-led "Superman Returns," respectively) as well as by Michael Rosenbaum (in the Tom Welling-led show "Smallville") and John Shea (in the Dean Cain version "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.")

"He's not any of the Lexes that you've seen, that's for sure," said Snyder of Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, according to AV Club. "Other than him being a captain of industry and one person to the world and another person to himself. And bald, of course."

Luthor is the main antagonist to the Kryptonian, and has been featured greatly in Superman adaptations in the past - this time, it'll be Henry Cavill's Superman versus Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor.
