Gal Gadot Skinny: ‘Wonder Woman’ Fights Rumors That She’s Too Thin To Play DC Comics Heroine [VIDEO]

Ever since the announcement that the "Man of Steel" sequel would be introducing Batman as a character as well as at least part of the Justice League, fans became wild with excitement regarding the film - though, after "Wonder Woman" was cast, it was said that Gal Gadot's skinny to play the role.

Over months, it's been said that Gal Gadot's skinny body had little to nothing to do with the role she's playing in the movie, as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, in the DC Universe, comes from a line of big and strong women called the Amazons.

According to IGN, the actress recently took to speaking about the Gal Gadot skinny criticism, as she appeared in an interview to discuss how she landed the role of the major comic book heroine, originally created in 1941 by William Moulton Marston, the man who'd go on to invent the polygraph or lie detector, the basis for the superhero's magic lasso.

The Inquisitr reports that the actress hasn't taken any of the criticism on her figure to heart, as Gal Gadot's skinny figure hasn't prevented the actress in the past, as she is a real-life "feisty warrior," having been a soldier for the Israel Defense Forces in her youth, long before becoming a Miss Israel pageant winner as well as a Miss Universe contestant.

The actress claims that she knew that, upon taking such a good role, all eyes would be on her and every move she made, as she was entering the public eye through portraying a well-loved heroine, whether Gal Gadot is skinny or not.

"When I was younger I would take criticism really hard, but now it mostly amuses me," the actress said about the Gal Gadot skinny criticism, according to The Examiner. "The true Amazons had one boob so it wouldn't bother them in their archery, so it's not going to be like real Amazons [anyway]. We always try to make everyone happy but we can't."
