Florida Mom - The only survivor in the brutal murder committed by a Florida mom has succumbed to death on Sunday. 5-month-old Christopher Swist was proclaimed dead at the Florida Hospital for Children in Orlando after sustaining injuries caused by choking.
Jessica Lacey McCarty, the Florida mom accused of murdering her three children faces two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder after she deliberately stabbed her kids, and choked the other two.
She appeared at the jail complex in Sharpes on Sunday to face her preliminary hearing with special medical guidance, ABC News cited. "A crime like this is beyond words," Commander John Resh stated. "It is unthinkable that someone could do this to innocent children."
On Friday night around 6 p.m. Florida mom, Jessica McCarty assaulted her three kids that left 7-year-old Laci McCarty and 6-year-old Philip McCarty dead. WFLA reported that it was also McCarty who called 911 to confess the killing of her three children.
The 33-year-old Florida mom was holding a knife in the front yard when officers arrived at 1100 block of Kenmore St. NW. But what officers saw inside shocked them more. Jessica McCarty committed monstrous murder by stabbing Laci on her knees and head, while the other two boy's necks were wrapped with cords.
The case of the Florida mom, who killed her three children were completely detailed in Palm Bay Police Department official Facebook Page. The Palm Bay police reported that McCarty was taken into custody after she was treated in the hospital for her non-life threatening injuries.
According to Palm Bay Police report, a man who was later identified as the father of one of the children also arrived at the scene of the crime. He immediately called 911 after finding the children unresponsive.
Florida mom, Jessica McCarty faces murder charges following the deaths of her two older children and an attempted murder for critically injuring her youngest child, who is a 5-month old on Saturday, March 21.
She is under the custody of the Brevard County Sheriff's Office and will be transported to the Brevard County Detention Center where she will be detained without bail for the gruesome crime she committed.
A day after the brutal incident, neighbors of the family gathered in Palm Bay for a makeshift memorial where they carried stuffed animals and flowers. Chris Kapps, a neighbor of the Florida mom expressed his sadness about the incident.
Kapps relayed that on Thursday afternoon, they were out in the front yard as he watched the little boy wearing his baseball uniform while the little girl was riding a bicycle. Then on Friday, he found out that McCarty shattered the lives of her family.
Kapps added that the Florida mom, McCarty was a polite woman as far as he knows. He also described the home of the McCarty's to be clean, nice and quiet.
As the Florida mom faces her charges, Palm Bay Mayor William Capote released a statement on the deaths of the children, Laci, Philip and Christopher.
It reads, "My condolences go out to the families of Laci and Philip McCarty and little Christopher Swist. This case has impacted the entire community. We are all hurting and asking why."
"When something like this happens there are no easy answers. Evil took the lives of these innocent children. But we must not lose our faith and hope in humanity and in each other knowing that justice will prevail in the end."
Until now, the reason why the Florida mom, Jessica Lacey McCarty did it to her three children is unknown. The community of Palm Bay continues to mourn on the deaths of the three kids who lost their lives on the hands of their cruel Florida mom.
