Even though she seemed as happy as could be when she let in cameras for the Playboy Mansion reality show "Girls Next Door," it seems like Holly Madison and Hugh Hefner's relationship was nowhere remotely as nice and sweet as it looked on television.
In fact, it was quite the contrary: now, for the first time since her departure from the Playboy Mansion, Hef's ex speaks out about her experience as a Bunny and the Holly Madison and Hugh Hefner relationship, which included a set of emotional abuse that led the burlesque star fairly close to suicide.
According to The Daily Mail, the new revelations about Holly Madison and Hugh Hefner's relationship will be appearing on the blonde's upcoming memoir, entitled "Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny," in which she opens up about how life went down in the famous mansion.
It wouldn't be the first time that a former Playboy Bunny speaks out against the seemingly glitzy life inside the Playboy editor's home, as another co-star of the reality show, Kendra Wilkinson, has also said she was disgusted by having a sexual relationship with Hefner.
CNN reports that the new Playboy bunny memoir reveals that Holly Madison and Hugh Hefner's relationship was a vastly complicated one, much more than it appeared on television. In the show, Madison had been Hefner's girlfriend for the longest time, and she constantly said she wanted to marry the famous editor and have children with him, besides being fairly uncomfortable about him having two other girlfriends.
"Life inside the notorious Mansion wasn't a dream at all and quickly became her nightmare," read a release from HarperCollins, the publisher of the book about Holly Madison and Hugh Hefner, according to Hollywood Life. "After losing her identity, her sense of self-worth and her hope for the future, Holly found herself sitting alone in a bathtub contemplating suicide."
For now, few details have been released in regard of Madison's memoir, besides her saying that she was excited to be finally able to share her story - now that she's married to Pasquale Rotella, with whom she has a two year-old daughter named rainbow.
The new book about Holly Madison and Hugh Hefner's time together will be released on June 23.
