McDonald's Burn Complaints: OMG! McDonald’s Managers Ask Workers To Put Mayonnaise Or Mustards On Burns Instead Of Burn Cream, What Went Wrong?

McDonald's burn complaints are yet another trouble that the giant hamburger chain in the US has to face. After hordes of challenges in the past months including changing of CEO, products, and managing other lawsuits, McDonald's is now up for McDonald's burn complaints that have taken into wider reach.

The lawsuit with the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration filed by workers in 19 cities over the past two weeks covers 28 health and safety complaints against the company.

The company's labor union takes a stronger stance on McDonald's burn complaints and now they're ready to press the company even harder, according to the union's statement during the press conference held on Monday.

Labeled as "Fight for $15" the group is organized by the Service Employees International Union.

USA Today reports that the group is the one in-charge of helping fast-food industry worker strikes in the past and this time after filing the charges against the company, the group is expecting to bring McDonald's into a bargaining agreement.

McDonald's burn complaints include the company's negligence on handling burn incidents where managers ask workers to put mustard or mayonnaise on their burns instead of treating them with burn ointments. Their stores also don't have enough first aid kits that are needed in every establishment.

Surprisingly, McDonald's is going to handle a more complicated case now that McDonald's burn complaints were brought to higher authorities. Employees also complained of understaffing and the need to work swiftly prompting them to be exposed in dangerous accidents.

Workers often don't have protective gears and lack crucial trainings in handling situations in the store. These situations put them into hazardous events like burning, working on hot grills without protection and slipping on floors, according to Think Progress.

In response to McDonald's burn complaints, Heidi Barker Sa Shekhem said, "It is important to note that these complaints are part of a larger strategy orchestrated by activists targeting our brand and designed to generate media coverage."

Further the company assured that they're going to review the allegations of McDonald's burn complaints.  They also reinstate that McDonald's is committed in providing safe working conditions for employees in the 14,000 McDonald's brand US restaurants.

With McDonald's burn complaints, where will the company now stand? It is a fact that they have made significant moves in order to ease their struggles and still win their place in the fast-food industry.

Lately, the "Fight for $15" activists exposed the company's racial discrimination and tax issues in Europe. Now the company is forced to handle yet another battle with McDonald's burn complaints.
