More and more issues arise in the show that Joan Rivers made famous, which seems ultimately doomed ever since the legendary comedienne and fashion icon passed away last year; now, even Lena Dunham's "Fashion Police" comments have made it clear that things aren't going well in the E! show.
Over the past months, a lot has been happening in the fashion program, including a nasty issue between co-host Giuliana Rancic and Zendaya, which ultimately led to Kelly Osbourne and new cast member Kathy Griffin quitting the show - and even Lena Dunham's "Fashion Police" is going after the show now.
According to Us Weekly, Lena Dunham's "Fashion Police" statement came through social network Instagram, as the actress, director and writer spoke out about her friend Griffin quitting the E! show, following weeks of controversy since the episode about the 2015 Oscars first aired late last February.
Before her death, Joan Rivers herself had been vocal about Dunham, saying she shouldn't wear "dresses above the knee" because she was sending out the wrong message, as Rivers, was, at heart, a a figure-obsessed comedienne who made a name for herself making fun of how fat Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor had gotten.
"Let me ask you something. Lena Dunham, who again I think is terrific, how could she wear dresses above the knee?" asked 80 year-old Rivers, to Howard Stern before her death, according to Jezebel.

"Congrats to my beautiful friend Kathy Griffin for bravely saying enough is enough to intolerance of all kinds on television," went Lena Dunham's "Fashion Police" statement. "She's modeling a better way for the youths (and working those ears.)"
In any case, Lena Dunham's "Fashion Police" comments were hardly the only ones showing support for Griffin, according to Perez Hilton: other celebrities that took to social media to congratulate the redhead comedienne were Aubrey Plaza, Rosie O'Donnell, Kristin Chenoweth, Jane Lynch, Wendy Williams and Osbourne herself, all of whom supported the funny woman's decision to quit the show due to its stance on race.
