One of the most famous operatic voices in the world after amassing huge success with her business and personal partnership with composer and theater entrepreneur Andrew Lloyd Weber, soon there will be a whole other area hearing this actress and singer's amazing voice, with Sarah Brightman in space.
Back in 2012, the singer announced that Sarah Brightman's space trip was real, as she said she'd be going up in the skies in a mission to the International Space Station after she'd gone through all the proper training required for this venture - and now, while the whole thing is just a few months away, she speaks about her training.
According to The Daily Mail, Sarah Brightman's space training is happening in Moscow, as she's going through the whole thing at the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, in a trip that has reportedly cost her millions of pounds sterling.
She has undergone a series of trials and examinations to be able to go to space, having announced years back that it was one of her biggest dreams to be able to perform outside the Earth.
The Independent reports that the estimate for Sarah Brightman's space venture £34m, which amounts to more than $50 million, an insanely large sum - however, due to contract, she's unable to say the exact sum she paid for her trip, although she's stated that she did so out of her own pocket, after months of speculation on whether Chinese entrepreneurs had paid for her space ticket.
BBC reports that Sarah Brightman's space venture won't only see her fulfilling a dream (visiting space), but also performing a brand new song that she worked in with her former husband, the creator of Broadway and West End successes like "The Phantom of the Opera," "Evita," "Jesus Christ Superstar" and even "Cats."
Brightman will go to space on September 1 in a Soyuz-FG rocket launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in a 10-day stay in space.
