Nate Robinson: Bulls Reportedly Holds Exploratory Discussion

Following the news that Derrick Rose's will not be playing for Chicago Bulls due to a knee injury, Chicago Bulls is said to have had exploratory discussions with free agent guard Nate Robinson. Nate Robinson would certainly fit Bulls' roster as he is familiar with both the team's core players and the coaching staff.

There hasn't been a formal discussion, but according to Sam Amick of USA Today, Nate Robinson is more than interested to return to Chicago Bulls. Nate Robinson stats average only 5.8 points in 14.1 minutes per game, but it is still safe to assume that he can do better, perhaps 20 minutes per game if ever he ends up in Chicago Bulls.

If people remember, Diminutive Nate Robinson had served the Bulls fairy well back during his one-year play in Chicago and though his basketball career isn't exactly stable, Chicago Bulls can't deny what he can offer to the team. Even though there hasn't been any confirmation, Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau spoke high praises of what Nate Robinson brought the team during their trying times. According to Jow Cowley of Chicago Sun-Times, coach Thibodeau said, "Nate's a character. He did a great job for us. The thing about Nate I always say is he's scaring both coaches right now. He was wonderful. I got a lot of respect for him. Obviously, I coached him in Boston too. He's a great teammate and did a great job for us."

According to Nick Friedel of ESPNChicago.com, what coach Thibodeau said when asked about Nate Robinson is they will have to talk to the players regarding that matter. Rumors or no rumors, many still think that point guard Nate Robinson will be perfect for the team as they need someone who can score and Robinson is apparently more than capable of handling that position as he knows the offense. Chicago Bulls fans will just have to wait whatever decision Chicago Bulls will come up with whether they'll sign Nate Robinson back or not.
