Mirjana Puhar America’s Next Top Model Died In Triple Homicide, What Led To Her Tragic End?

Mirjana Puhar America's Next Top Model former contestant was found dead in a home in Charlotte, North Carolina, with her boyfriend and a roommate on Tuesday, Feb.24. The suspect was arrested, who was believed to be connected with another murder that happened on Feb.22.

Many were saddened with the news that Mirjana Puhar America's Next Top Model contestant last year had to meet a tragic end. Puhar, 19 was found dead at her boyfriend's apartment, Jonathan Alvarado, 23 with his roommate and best friend, Jusmar Gonzaga-Garcia, 21.

The suspect named Emmanuel Jesus Rangel, 18 was caught by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police on Wednesday and was charged with three counts of first-degree murder, the Telegraph reports. It was not revealed how the victims were killed, but authorities believed that it was drug-related.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police has reported that the victims and the suspect also knew each other. The suspect was transferred to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office custody.

Mirjana Puhar America's Next Top Model appeared at the show's 21st cycle.

Mirjana Puhar, America's Next Top Model former contestant was born in Srmeska Mitorvica, Serbia and they migrated to New York City during the Kosovo War when she was five. They relocated to North Carolina where she grew up and stayed.

Although she rose to fame as Mirjana Puhar America's Next Top Model cast, she started modeling when she was 12. She worked with John Casablancas and Barbizon until she joined Season 2 of America's Next Top Model, Hollywood Life reports.

In a close interview with Charlotte Observer, the young model revealed that she's a high school dropout at the Mint Hill.

She skipped school regularly, got into fights and went to the principal's office many times. She stated that she's a wild child, went out, had fun, and partied whatever as she didn't had the best influences around her.

She gave it a try to get serious with her studies and went into college. She earned GED at the Central Piedmont Community College before she finally joined the cast of the reality show, America's Next Top Model.

Tyra Banks, 41, Puhar's mentor at the ANTM and co-executive producer Ken Mok expressed their deepest sentiments upon learning Puhar's death.

"We are deeply saddened to learn of the tragic news about Mirjana Puhar. She was a vivacious and promising young woman. Our hearts and prayers go out to her loved ones," Mok and Banks wrote in a statement.

Kelly Cutrone, 49, a judge at the ANTM and close friend of Mirjana Puhar America's Next Top Model cast has expressed her sadness on the loss of her good friend.

"I was shocked and deeply saddened when I woke up this morning and heard the news of Mirjana's passing. She was a beautiful, funny, smart, amazing girl. My heart goes out to her family and I'll always hold her and her memory in an elevated place."

Mirjana Puhar America's Next Top Model former contestant was the youngest contestant in the show. Denzel Wells, her co-contestant was romantically involved to Puhar couldn't believe about Puhar's loss. He revealed that nobody knows her like he does.
