Kanye West Debuts His Original Adidas Collection

Rapper Kanye West debuted his original Adidas collection in Manhattan during the New York Fashion Week and the reviews are mixed. For his devoted fans, it is a good thing, but for a number of elite in the fashion industry have spoken out to slam his collection, labelling the first foray of the musician onto the catwalk as a disaster and a joke.

After the collaboration of West with Adidas Originals, the creator of Fashion Week, Fern Mallis, has revealed to the Rolling Stone that she is over the rapper and added that his style is not really her style.

Mallis said that she is not a fan of Kanye's music and the agenda and attitude isn't her style. Also, the fashion veteran is not alone in her opinions.

Kelly Cutrone, the renowned fashion publicist, is known by many because of her appearance on the LA-based reality series "The Hills" actress Lauren Conrad, who also offered up a quite harsh critique of the design attempts of Kanye while suggesting that West should just stick to music and get rid of any fashion-focused ventures.

Cutrone also said that she is not into his fashion thing and think that he is fine as a rapper and a joke if he will insist to be a fashion designer. She added that even if West is a good rapper, it does not mean that he is going to be a great fashion designer.

According to Daily Mail UK, Kelly also pointed out that it's not the first time that Kanye attempted to establish himself as a legit designer and failed for several times. Back then, he spent about $10 million to produce his collection, but no one considered wearing it.

West responded Mallis through Twitter and said that designing is not simple and he just wanted to share what he knew in designing.
