Jason Momoa Aquaman Looks Amazing, Zack Snyder Shows First ‘Batman V Superman’ Pic! [PHOTO]

While this year sees the release of two Marvel Cinematic Universe movies (namely "Ant Man" and "Avengers: Age of Ultron"), 2016 will also get its own big superhero film, "Batman vs. Superman," which will see the return of Henry Cavill as Clark Kent, plus other additions like Jason Momoa's Aquaman.

Though the character has been much maligned in the past decades, Jason Momoa's Aquaman is nothing like the version featured in the "Justice League" cartoons from decades ago, and it seems that he'll be quite the friend to Ben Affleck's Batman and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, as the film's set to begin the course towards a Justice League movie.

According to The Guardian, the new Jason Momoa Aquaman picture shows the "Conan the Barbadian" actor giving quite an edge to the classic look of the character who can speak with fish and control the waters, and has been a part of the Justice League since its beginnings.

Following the success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise, which has gone from successful movies like "Avengers," "Guardians of the Galaxy" and the "Iron Man" movies, Warner Bros. has decided to up the ante and feature their own classic characters, giving them a new twist - just as they have with Jason Momoa's Aquaman.

As Forbes reports, the new picture of Jason Momoa's Aquaman came, as so many other things in the movie have, from the Twitter account of Zack Snyder, the film's director and also the man responsible for having been behind the camera in the 2013 Superman reboot "Man of Steel," which also featured Oscar-nominated Amy Adams as Clark Kent's girlfriend Lois Lane.

"There is only one true King. #unitetheseven," Zack Snyder tweeted according to E! Online, then posting the Jason Momoa Aquaman picture, which shows him in full attire as the character. The phrase is thought to be a reference either the Seven Seas (as Aquaman is their king) or the Justice League's seven original members: Aquaman, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg (Ray Fisher), Green Lantern and The Flash (Ezra Miller).
