It's the most dreaded season for anyone trying to watch their figure after overeating at the end of the year, as the Girl Scout Cookies of 2015 have been officially released for the next month, and the adorable little girls will be selling out the delicious treats all over the country - and just one click away in their website, as well.
People all over the country have been waiting for the Girl Scout Cookies 2015 season since the new flavors were first announced in the last few weeks of January; even superstar Katy Perry had spoken about her strict diet before the Super Bowl, sad that she had to keep off the popular cookies.
According to 9News, the Girl Scout Cookies 2015 started last February 6, and will go on for a little over a month, until March 8; local Girl Scouts will be appearing in different venues all over the country like food courts, grocery stores and malls, enticing people to get a taste of the delicious cookies, bringing two new flavors with the bunch: Rah-Rah raisins (made with raisins and oatmeal) and Toffee-tastic, gluten-free and special for people with celiac disease.
Le High Valley Live reports that the Girl Scout Cookies 2015 season kicked off with a bang in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, as a major venue in the town, ArtsQuest Center, hosted an inaugural party for the season, where more than a dozen restaurants around the region created recipes based on different flavors from the Girl Scout Cookie brands, having samples of all of them.
Sounds delicious!
As UT San Diego reports, though, there's a lot more going on with the Girl Scout initiative besides just selling cookies to people who'll be feeling guilty over their caloric intake: for example, there's something called Operation Thin Mint (OTM), where you can send cookies to the troops all over the world.
Now that the Girl Scout Cookies 2015 season is here, it's like the year has started all over again!
