‘Poltergeist’ Reboot 2015: Creepy 80s Steven Spielberg Horror Movie Reboot Sneak Peek! [PHOTOS+VIDEO]

Horror fans can get a little scared in advance with the latest from the "Poltergeist" reboot of 2015, as the studios producing it, 20th Century Fox and MGM, have released the first information about the upcoming remake of the classic 1982 film starring Craig T. Nelson and JoBeth Williams.

Back in the day, the original saga was said to have a curse on it, just like the one seen on the film like the fact that the movie's star, blonde girl Heather O'Rourke, died at 12 following complications of congenital intestinal stenosis; now, more than thirty years later, the "Poltergeist" reboot of 2015 promises to take things further and scare a new generation of audiences.

According to the International Business Times, the "Poltergeist" reboot 2015, the studio has just released new information about the movie from its official Twitter account, stating that the first trailer for the horror film is to debut sometime this Thursday, February 5.

Also, the director, Gil Kenan (the director of "Monster House"), and the film's producer Sam Raimi (known for works like "Spartacus") have just sent the first photos of the "Poltergeist" reboot of 2015 to USA Today exclusively, showing the reimagined version of the classic horror movie.

The new film will star Sam Rockwell and Rosemarie DeWitt. The original film told the story of a family living in a haunted house, where creatures spoke to the little girl from the television until ultimately consuming her; in the end, the characters find out that the house they live in is built on top of an Indian cemetery, and what's been happening is that the ghosts from there have been asking for the home back.

"Unlike the traditional horror film, I wanted to put together a cast to give weight and reality to these characters. It's the way to anchor the family," the director, Kenan, told website ComingSoon.Net. "It's such an emotional story at the core. Parents fighting to get their child back from the beyond."
