"The Jacka" Oakland shooting on Monday night raised disbelief and shock to all who knew the 37-year-old Bay area rapper. Dominic Newton, who went on the stage name "The Jacka" Oakland shooting after several gunshots were heard by witnesses along MacArthur Boulevard and 94th Avenue.
However, there was no suspect identified in "The Jacka" Oakland shooting incident. The killer remains at large and there was no information gathered to locate any suspect on the Bay area shooting that happened around 8:15 p.m. according to San Francisco- KPIX.
According to "The Jacka" Facebook page, he described himself as somebody raised in the hip hop culture and exposed to break dancing, rap music and graffiti at very young age. He wrote, his influences include b-boys and thugs, pimps and Imams.
He was a former member of The Mob Figaz where he claimed he contributed to its self-titled album that sold more than 100,000 units. He was featured also in more than 100 albums in the past eight years. In his Facebook page, we wrote he toured with Yukmouth (of the Luniz), Mac Dre, the Mob Figaz, C-Bo, and Keak da Sneak.
Though "The Jacka" was did not make it big in the spotlight, his music delivered a huge impact in local Bay area. In his page info, "The Jacka" claimed that he voices the code of the streets and stories of the midnight struggles.
Several followers of "The Jacka" expressed their grief and sentiments to the Bay area rapper who was a victim of the Oakland shooting. "The Jacka" Oakland shooting came as a nightmare for those who love and support the rapper.

SFS Station reported that rapper Raekwon of Wu Tang Clan paid tribute to “The Jacka.” Paul Wall and Freddie Gibbs, who were shocked to “The Jacka” Oakland shooting, took to Twitter their pledge to dedicate their March show in Oakland to “The Jacka.”

It’s very ironic how “The Jacka” Oakland shooting happened. He once wrote in his Facebook page, he believes in one faith, growth, and determination in the midst of dope and unsolved murders.
