Surprise, surprise: the beautiful Canadian-American actress, who announced her second pregnancy in October last year, has just announced that she gave birth to her second child with Saturday Night Live husband Taran Killam - in other words, there's a new adorable Cobie Smulders baby out there that the world knew nothing about!
While it was known that there was a new Taran Killam and Cobie Smulders baby on the way, the very private couple made no further official announcements after they said the "How I Met Your Mother" star was pregnant - and this week, as Smulders walked around a famous festival, she barely dropped the news in passing!
According to The Daily Mail, there was no such thing as an official Cobie Smulders baby announcement, but she happened to just be saying she had a three week-old baby waiting for her at home, shocking her interviewers.
The Cobie Smulders baby news broke during the Sundance Film Festival, as E! Online reports. The "Avengers" actress is currently at the famous independent festival, which happens every January in a few Utah venues such as Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden, and the Sundance Resort.
Smulders, most famous for her role as Robin Scherbatsky in the hit sitcom "How I Met Your Mother," is now promoting her latest film, "Unexpected," a movie that tells the story of two women, a teacher and a student, who end up pregnant at the very same time.
"I'm in Sundance and I have a three week old baby, so I can certainly relate," Smulders said to Bustle, when talking about the themes of the movie. "It's my world at the moment, and it's just so prevalent in the world today. I'm very lucky where I have a great career and a huge support system and not every woman has that. It's an interesting film because it shows both of those sides."
Congratulations to the Killam-Smulders family for the new Cobie Smulders baby, the latest addition to the family of three, following their five year-old daughter Shaelyn.
