In the latest allegation surrounding the iconic comedian and television personality, Cindra Ladd's Bill Cosby statement puts the "Cosby Show" star in an even tighter corner, as the wife of Alan Ladd, Jr. has made the chilling statement that, before drugging and sexually assaulting her, Cosby said two words: "Trust me."
Ever since Hannibal Buress' October stand-up routine where he told the world that Cosby had been accused numerous times of having sexually assaulted women in the past, there's been a great many number of women who have come out publicly stating that they were victims of abuse by the comedian; now, Cindra Ladd's Bill Cosby testimony gives the abuse another famous face.
According to The Guardian, Cindra Ladd's Bill Cosby accusation now marks a population of over 20 women that have spoken out against the comedian, including supermodels Beverly Johnson and Janice Dickinson, who spoke out about her own story of abuse with Cosby in a recent interview with Ronan Farrow, the son of Mia and Woody Allen (who has also been accused of sexual abuse in the past).
Cindra Ladd's Bill Cosby statements first came to light in a recent article on The Huffington Post, as she told the story of how she came to know the comedian and actor and the fact that he abused when she was 21 years old in New York City.
"He went into another room and came back with a capsule. I asked a couple of times what it was," the executive said in a chilling statement. "Each time he reassured me, asking, "Don't you trust me?" Of course I did. This was Bill Cosby."
She went on to say that, decades later her husband, Alan Ladd, Jr., formally introduced Cindra Ladd to Bill Cosby, and he failed to recognize her, as The Daily Mail reports.
