Cheetos are among the most decadent junk food items in the market, as the Frito Lay product features different flavors such as their Crunch Jalapeño Cheese Flavors Snacks line or their Chile Limón one - now, for those with a taste for candy, the brand has released sweet Cheetos called "Sweetos."
Finally, the time has come, and the sweet Cheetos you didn't know you had been waiting for are finally going to be sold all over the world, though the company has announced that the new Sweetos won't be around for all time - or will they?
According to Yahoo! News, the new sweet Cheetos are the very first venture of the kind made by the big snack food brand in their entire almost seven-decade long history. For the first time ever, the Sweetos will bring the world a taste of sweetness from the company that has heavily relied on more and more complex salty-flavored treats in the last few years.
According to Bustle, the new sweet Cheetos will basically follow the same look as the classic ones only, instead of filling the puffed treat with cheese, they will be filled with cinnamon and sugar.
They'll be coming out in mid-February, retailing at $3.49 for a seven-ounce bag, for a limited time only - oddly enough, the new Sweetos are actually supposed to be a seasonal food for springtime. They'll come in pastel colors meant to remind consumers of Eastertime.
"We're always looking for ways to add some playful fun to the snack aisle," said Jeff Klein, the vice president of marketing on Frito Lay, to ABC News. "So this year - in true Cheetos fashion -- we decided to turn spring snacking on its head with the most unexpected treat in decades. Move over chocolate bunny, there's a sweet new snack in town."
For those who love getting their fingers orange with the classic cheese snack, you'll be pleased to know that the sweet Cheetos will leave the exact same mark, as USA Today reports!
