Reality star Bethenny Frankel, who first started out on "The Apprentice: Martha Stewart" and has even been a part of the "Real Housewives" franchise, has had her own brand, Skinnygirl Cocktails, for quite a while now - but rumor has it she might be venturing it into pot in the states where recreational marijuana is legal.
Many entrepreneurs are jumping at the chance to do business with the recently approved measures of legal marijuana in the states of Colorado, Alaska, Oregon and Washington; now, it seems like Bethenny Frankel's Skinnygirl Cocktails will be the next company venturing on the new business.
Website So We Tan Live reports that Skinnygirls Cocktails creator, Bethenny Frankel, was recently visiting Aspen, Colorado, and marveling at the fact that she witnessed marijuana being widely available and sold without any legal issue whatsoever, and the fact that all this freedom was possible on the subject made her consider getting into a brand new line of business.
The woman behind Skinnygirls Cocktails, a brand that specializes in low-calorie wines as well as ready-to-drink cocktails and even flavored vodkas might be considering to capitalize on the wide success of legal marijuana in the states where it has already been approved for recreational use, according to The Spirits Business.
"It will be a specially engineered strain of pot designed to not give you the munchies," said a source to Us Weekly, regarding the possibility of the Frenkel's venture into marijuana. "She read about how profitable the cannabis industry is and wants to get in on that."
It is thought that the new marijuana line would be completely different from the cocktails one, but still Skinnygirl would be getting on board. However, the company behind Skynnygirl, Beam Suntory, when confronted about the possibility of the Skinnygirl Cocktails venture into marijuana, stated they did not comment on rumors in regards to the brand.
