Ice cream is the ultimate summer snack, perfect for hot afternoons when it feels like one's throat is about to dry up - because of this, food critics all over the United States are shocked at the fact that Ben and Jerry's new flavors have only been released now, in the middle of the winter.
Contrary to logic - the Ben and Jerry's new flavors in their upcoming cookie line were not released in the hot months in the United States, but rather in the midst of the chilling winter, making people wonder just how successful it might be for the upcoming couple of months before springtime.
While it's the middle of the summer in countries in the Southern hemisphere (such as Australia, New Zealand of Argentina), the northern countries such as the United States have the heaviest of wintertime in January, which is when Ben and Jerry's new flavors of 2015 have been released.
According to The Independent, the Ben and Jerry's new flavors, the Cookie Core line, features three different combination of ice cream with a delicious cookie center, much more gooey on the inside - the latest addition of their "core" collection, which also features ingredients like peanut butter, jam and salted caramel.
As Business Insider reports, ice cream chain Ben & Jerry's traditionally releases its new creamy and frozen products in the middle of winter, as they did the same in February 2014, introducing the launch of their Core line at the time, with flavors like That's My Jam and Hazed and Confused.
As The Huffington Post reports, the new Cookie Core line contains the delicious baked dessert in the middle of the pint, which means that each scoop has at least a little bit of cookie, at $4.89 a pint.
It may just be time to run to the nearest location to try out the Ben and Jerry's new flavors; but remember to do it where the heat is up!
