Kathy Griffin ‘Fashion Police’: Joan Rivers Homage, Amal Clooney Bashing, How Did Kathy Griffin’s Fashion Police Do?

The first major award show of the 2015 season also brought the world the return of a series that had been rumored to be in danger of being cancelled after the death of comedy legend Joan Rivers; now, Kathy Griffin's in "Fashion Police" for the first time, but what do fans think of the new hostess?

Besides obviously being interested in hearing all about what movie stars were wearing during the Golden Globe Awards, people who watched the E! Entertainment Television show featuring Giuliana Rancic and Kelly Osbourne also tuned in to watch Joan Rivers being incredibly mean and hilarious towards everyone - can Kathy Griffin's "Fashion Police" tenure do the same?

According to The Daily Mail, it seems that Kathy Griffin's "Fashion Police" still has a lot of work ahead, as the woman who played Roast Master to "The Comedy Central Roast Of Joan Rivers" doesn't seem able to step on the big shoes the comedienne and Miss Piggy rival left to be filled.

The Daily Beast reports that the Kathy Griffin "Fashion Police" debut was full of screw-ups and made audiences of the fashion critique show truly miss Rivers, who had been a part of the show since its inception, and was often considered the heart of it and the face of Red Carpet coverage altogether.

As USA Today reported, Griffin's mishaps first popped up as the comedienne dared to diss one of the biggest red carpet sweethearts: George Clooney's new wife, Amal Alamuddin Clooney, who has often been called out for her impeccable fashion sense as well as her elegance in different public appearances, in her own work time as well as accompanying husband George.

Griffin stated that even though she was Clooney's wife, she was in no way free of being bashed for her red carpet choices.

In the biggest highlight of the Kathy Griffin "Fashion Police" debut, the redhead funny woman started the show paying tribute to her friend Joan Rivers, as Griffin stated she'd have no compassion for anyone because she had "learned from the best."
