Kit Harington Haircut: Does It Mean Jon Snow Dies In ‘Game Of Thrones’ New Season? [PHOTO]

Not too long ago, the English actor who plays Jon Snow in the hit HBO epic series "Game of Thrones" amused the world by saying he was contractually forced to keep the same hairstyle throughout his stay in the show - so, does Kit Harington's haircut mean he gets killed off?

Ever since Keri Russell chopped off her long curls for "Felicity," no hairstyle from a television star had made this much noise (except perhaps Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting's pixie last year); in any case, the new Kit Harington haircut has greatly worried fans of the HBO show, as his character Jon Snow is among the favorites in the epic series about power.

Back in the summer, Buzzfeed reported that the reason Kit Harington's haircut had remained the same on red carpets throughout the show - unlike his co-stars, particularly Natalie Dormer, who cut off half her long locks for her role in the "Hunger Games" movies - was because he was contractually forced to keep it just that way, on and off the screen.

While the world snickered at the poor luck surrounding Kit Harington's haircuts, news that he's now sporting a new more stylish cut has set social media on fire, as it is unknown whether this might mean his character is about to die in the upcoming season of "Game of Thrones."

According to USA Today, Harington first showed the world his new style only a few days ago, as he went to the United Kingdom premiere of "Testament of Youth," his new film co-starring Dominic West, Emily Watson and "Marvel's Agent Carter" star Hayley Atwell.

However, website Mashable states that there's probably nothing to be overly worried about in regards of the new Kit Harington haircut: since it's only a slight change and the cast and crew have only just ended filming season 5, it could just mean he's sporting shorter hair for the next few months. Do not despair!
