Recent reports show that Google is showing great interests in the car insurance market. In fact its service Google Compare has a feature that enables its users to compare different services offered by companies in order to get a better deal and one of the features of this service is focused on car insurance. Although the service is only available in the United Kingdom, experts say that it would not take long before Google decides to offer the service into the rest of Europe and North America.
Google has yet to release an official statement about expanding its Google Compare service but recent developments are showing that the company has already geared up and getting ready to launch it. In fact a company named Google Compare Auto Insurance Services Inc. has been set up in 25 various U.S. states and has already received licenses to sell insurance packages from top shot insurance companies like Metlife and Workmen. It is not a farfetched idea for Google to release the service in the U.S. since it is there where the company is established.
In Europe, Google Compare offers real time quotes for services like mortgages, credit card offers and ticket sales among others. The service works as a sort of middle-man in the purchase of services and takes a cut every time a buyer purchases a service using Google Compare.
Google has been steadily expanding its services aside from its flagship search engine. Right now its Android operating system and its other variations is used to power nearly half of all the smartphones in the world. Google has also joined in the research and development of autonomous cars and robotics.
