Mariah Carey Las Vegas: Residency For ‘We Belong Together’ Diva?

For the diva with the iconic voice, 2014 was a tough year, as she started going through a tough divorce with estranged husband Nick Cannon and had a few critically panned performances by the end of the year, as well as rumors of a nervous breakdown - but now, is Mariah Carey Las Vegas bound?

A lot of artists have done a residence in the Nevada city of casinos in the past, including Celine Dion, Cher, Bette Midler and most recently Pop Princess Britney Spears: many artists have hailed this as a way to keep the cash flowing as well as not having to go through the toughness of touring. Now, is it Mariah Carey's Las Vegas turn?

Rumors of Mariah Carey in Las Vegas have been going around for a while, but they keep intensifying as time goes by for the singer and actress: now, celebrity news outlet E! Online has confirmed that the singer is either about to sign or has already put her name on a contract to spend the next couple of years singing in the famed Nevada city.

The Las Vegas Sun reports that, if it were true, the Mariah Carey Las Vegas contract would see the singer performing at Caesar's Palace, in a residency worth possibly even more than Britney Spears - which was famous for having gotten the "Work Bitch" singer $30 millions for spending a two year residency in the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in the Vegas strip.

According to Mercury News, the Carey deal with Caesar's Palace could have her starting out her residency this very year, not too long before the 2015 holiday season.

Due to the fact that Carey has two toddlers with estranged husband Cannon, 3 year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan, it'd make sense that she looks for a more stable gig where she doesn't have to move around too much and keep working while taking care of her children.

Certainly, it would seem that, for Mariah Carey, Las Vegas would be a great change of scene!
