In the midst of the war of on-demand Internet streaming, the first company to hit the waves was Netflix, which has always tried to remain a step forward from the rest of the similar companies; now, they have officially announced the premiere of Edward Norton's Netflix documentary.
While most would think the Oscar-nominated actor is currently busy promoting his last movie "Birdman" and getting a lot of recognition over it, the Edward Norton Netflix deal has made it evident that Norton has been keeping his hands full in the last few months with different projects.
According to ComingSoon.net, the latest Edward Norton Netflix announcement came over the past Monday, as the company stated that they'd be premiering the documentary "My Own Man" in the first days of March 2015, a movie that features the "Red Dragon" star as an executive producer, along with David Sampliner.
According to Deadline, the original Edward Norton Netflix will be available in every territory in the world where the on-demand streaming site exists. "My Own Man" was written, produced and directed by Sampliner, about the development of his new identity as a father, and ultimately how to manage his own long-standing issues with his father, and their difficult relationship over the course of his life.
"When I started making this film, I wanted to document an experience I shared with a lot of my peers: becoming a husband and father in a time when the roles for men were changing so dramatically," said Sampliner about the film, according to The Wrap. "But in the course of shooting over seven years, I realized that discovering how to be a 21st century dad meant coming to terms with my own father. I'm hoping that by watching a portrait of my family, audiences will find new ways of understanding their own."
The new Edward Norton Netflix project will air for the first time on March 6 exclusively on the on-stream website.
