Heat Wins Against Nets, Halts Four Game Losing Streak

The Miami Heat has finally found their rhythm in the hard-court. With this much needed win, the Heat put an end to a disappointing four game losing streak.

Chris Bosh led the Heat in points with 26. Dwayne Wade scored 25, scoring the crucial 10 points in the final minutes of the game to bring the Heat on top of the Nets 88-84. The fans from the American Airline Arena were treated to a heart pounding game. Attendance was also record breaking with 20,181, a season high for the Heat.

On the Brooklyn Nets' side, Joe Johnson led the team in points with 19, Brook Lopez scored an addition 16 and Mirza Teletovic contributed 14 points. If the Nets won the game, their season record could have been raised to at least .500, a feast they last achieved on Nov 12.

The win against the Nets is greatly needed in order to boost up their moral after taking a serious beating against the Houston Rockets in a blowout game that slapped the Heat with a 36 points deficit after the game.

The Heat's home record has improved to 7-12. During the course of the game, the Heat never trailed. Net's Teletovic fired a 3-point shoot 4:49 left in the clock but failed to get it in. The 3-point from Teletovic could have tied the game and might have posed serious momentum problems for the Heat.

The brightest star of the night however was Hassan Whiteside who was thought to be a rookie, in fact Whiteside has debuted on the NBA last 2010. Whiteside has 11 points, tied his career high grabbing 10 rebounds and setting a new career record with blocks. His biggest play was blocking a shot from Deron Williams' midway through the fourth quarter, the ball was sent out of bounds due to the extreme force applied to the block.

The Net will be hosting the Mavs on Monday while he Heat will be visiting the Trailblazers on Thursday.
