Ingredients
2 Butternut squash
7 cups water
1 tsp of salt
1/2 cup sugar or 1/3 cup honey
Directions
1. Cut the squash in half lengthwise and remove the seeds with a spoon.
2. Place the butternut squash in a large pot. Pour 3 cups of water over them and bring to a boil over medium high heat for 30 minutes.
3. Turn off the heat and let it cool down. Scrape the cooked insides out with a spoon.
4. Place the cooked squash insides into a large pot and add 4 cups of water and bring to boil.
5. Simmer for about 30 minutes until the the squash has thickened.
6. Add salt and sugar or honey to taste.
