The country star turned pop diva has made it clear she's not currently looking for a new boyfriend after the release of her hit album "1989" - but pal Ed Sheeran is convinced that his friend Taylor Swift and Orlando Bloom would make an amazing couple!
There have been no rumors of Taylor Swift and Orlando Bloom hooking up, and it is unknown whether the two even know each other - but they definitely have found their own Cupid in British singer-songwriter sensation Ed Sheeran, who is sure the two would hit it off instantly.
According to a new interview Sheeran gave to British magazine Now, he's convinced that Taylor Swift and Orlando Bloom would make a fantastic couple, and he's waiting for sparks to fly between the star of the "Lord of the Rings" films and the "You Belong With Me" beauty.
"He's lovely, and they live in the same building," Sheeran said about Taylor Swift and Orlando Bloom, according to The Huffington Post. "The magic might present itself eventually."
And what a sweet couple that would be! Last year, Bloom separated from his Australia model wife Miranda Kerr, with whom he has a baby son, the soon to be 4 year-old Flynn Christopher Blanchard Copeland Bloom; since their split, there has been no news regarding Orlando's love life.
Earlier this year, Bloom made worldwide news after famously throwing a punch at Justin Bieber, according to TMZ, after what appeared to be an altercate regarding Bloom's ex-wife Miranda, who Bieber was apparently hitting on.
Meantime, Swift has recently stated that she doesn't think she'd have any time for a relationship with her currently very busy schedule, but her close pal Ed Sheeran hopes that doesn't mean she wouldn't take a bit of a professional break if someone special came up.
In any case, after Sheeran mentioned it, the world has turned all eyes to Taylor Swift and Orlando Bloom - and maybe the sparks will fly!
