The Slender Man stabbing incident happened in May where the suspects executed their deadly plan to kill their friend Payton Leutner by stabbing her 19 times to "appease Slender Man." Leutner was left for dead in order for Slender Man to find her, the suspects claimed.

As opposed to the result of Geyser's mental examination, Robert Rawski, a state doctor has revealed that she is fit to stand the Slender Man stabbing trial because she knows what's actually happening. When she was asked why she has to stand in the Slender Man stabbing trial, she said that "I intended to kill somebody."

All the three girls, Leutner, Weier and Geyser were friends. Leutner and Geyser were close friends as they spent each night talking over the phone and chatting over the internet. Geyser however has another friend named Weier who became closed to each other because of the fictional character Slender Man.
