With Rajon Rondo leaving the Celtics lineup, the future of the Boston Celtics has been getting very hazy. Their last game against the equally struggling Miami Heat was equally heartbreaking than seeing Rondo in the Dallas Mavericks uniform.
The new lineup of the Boston Celtics which lacks offensive power not to mention its defensive credibility faced the similarly superstar starved Miami Heat.
For Marcus Smart the rookie from Oklahoma State, this is his first career start for the Boston Celtics. Smart probably has experience the worst ball game of his entire life when the Miami Heat trampled them with 100-84 and leading almost the entire ball game.
The Heat, without LeBron James and who also recently lost Mike Miller and James Jones who have reunited with Lebron James with the Cavalier, have a lot to prove this season. Ray Allen is not in the same shape as he was two years ago and the Heat is battling with injuries on their roster. Dwayne Wade's return is still unforeseeable due to a knee injury while Bosh is sitting in the bench with a troublesome strained calf injury.
The only light in the tunnel right now for the Heat is in the hands of the Mario Chalmers and Norris. The two guards almost single handedly dominated the entire Celtics squad, including shutting down Marcus Smart who only managed to score three points, dish four assists and grabbed four rebounds. The whole Celtics offense rests on the shoulders of Tyler Zeller who scored 22 points on a 10 for 15 shooting. The rest of the Celtics team is 23 for 68 a mere 33.8% shooting percentage. As if to rub salt in their wounds, they only made six out of their 23 three-pointers.
The win for the Heat halted their game losing streak on their own home court while the Celtics ended their three game winning streaks.
