Boeing And Blackberry Develops Self-Destructing Spy-Phone

Airline company Boeing Co. and tech giant Blackberry are currently on a clandestine mission to create an complicated, powerful, self-destructing smartphone to be used by US defense and homeland security personnel and contractors.

Boeing which currently stands as America's second largest defense contractor is on the move to develop software applications due to deteriorating sales for its military hardware due to budget cuts in the defense department. Blackberry on the other hand finds new light in the government project as its commercial sales plummets.

Boeing Black, the aerospace company's smartphone is currently in development to fully run using the Blackberry's servers known as BES. This business enterprise server by Blackberry provides software's that enable huge multinational corporation along with government agencies to fully track their personnel's devices. Good thing about the Blackberry server is that it is compatible with both Android and iPhone devices.

Despite the release of two smartphone units this year, the Passport and the Classic, Blackberry's shares declined in the stock market. This decline prompted executives at Blackberry to focus on creating software and security solutions to government agencies and other corporations/

Not much specs have been revealed about the Boeing Black aside from the fact that it looked like a thicker version of other Android devices but Boeing has declared that it has a lot of spy-features including a trigger that when activated can initiate the phones self-destruct option. The phone is also manufactures with epoxy sealing its casing along with screws and other tamperproof features. According to Boeing, this feature will enable the phone to identify any attempts to tamper or disassemble it. Any attempt to open the phone will activate a program that will wipe the entire data and software installed in the phone completely clear rendering the phone to be unusable. The phone also comes in with a dual-sim card feature instead of one.

No release date yet has been slated for Boeing Black.
