Jabari Parker only 19 years old came straight to the NBA from Duke University and was drafted by Milwaukee Bucks. He plays as an alternate forward for the Bucks.
According to initial medical reports, Parker's injury was only a sprain but further diagnosis revealed that the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) on his left knee was totally torn off. The injury came off in the third quarter after Parker and Phoenix Suns' P.J. Tucker collided as Parker took off to make a drive to the basket. The injury was so severe that he had to be carried outside of the court. He immediately underwent an MRI and the results revealed the tear. Despite Parkers injury, the Bucks still went on to win the game 96-94.
Since joining the Bucks' roster, Parker averaged 12.3 points per game and 5.5 rebounds per game playing only for an average of 29.5 minutes in 25 games, an already brilliant stats considering that he is only a rookie and is only getting minimal minutes of playing time. With this exceptional performance, he emerged as one of the biggest contender for the Rookie of the Year award.
Parker played his first three games with a double-double and was voted the Eastern Conference rookie for the month of Oct-Nov. Before playing for the Milwaukee Bucks, he played one season for Duke University.
Milwaukee Bucks currently holds a record of 13 win and 12 losses. Their latest win against the Suns marks their two-game winning streak. They will be playing their next game on Thursday against the Portland Trailblazers.
