The news that Eddie Redmayne's engaged have been out for a few months, ever since he and Hannah Bagshawe announced it old-fashion style in the late spring by posting it on a newspaper, not unlike friend Benedict Cumberbatch did a few weeks ago - but now, it's official: they'll be tying the knot today, December 15!
It's been a great year for the actor: not only is Eddie Redmayne engaged to his longtime love, he's also been getting a lot of recognition (including nominations for the Screen Actors Guild and Golden Globe Awards last week) for his portrayal of famous British physicist and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) patient, Stephen Hawking.
Months after the official announcement that Eddie Redmayne is engaged, news has come out that the actor is planning on having a winter wedding with his girlfriend since 2012, Hannah Bagshawe. According to British gossip paper The Sun, the couple has planned a ceremony themed as a "winter wonderland," where they'll be exchanging vows to become husband and wife.
Another British paper, The Daily Mail, also reported that the wedding will have a special effects team overseeing the whole affair, which seems will be a movie-like ceremony.
The event where Eddie Redmayne's engaged status will change to "married" will occur this Monday at the Babington House near Bath, Somerset, in a members-only country club.
"We like the hymn In The Bleak Midwinter and want an excuse to sing that at the wedding," said the actor, according to Hello Magazine.
Over the past few months, Redmayne has been thrilled to discuss his coming nuptials to Bagshawe, and he had previously confirmed that it would indeed be a winter wedding for the "Les Miserables" star and his bride.
Back in May, news that Eddie Redmayne's engaged surfaced the world, after the actor made the announcement officially by posting it on London's The Times. Evidently, Eddie and Hannah are two old-fashioned romantics!
