News of the latest California storm weather are vastly reaching all outlets, after the Golden State had gone through its heaviest drought in a very long time, and one that has been going on from the summer all the way to the last days of the fall as winter approaches.
Following the heaviest drought in centuries, news of the upcoming California storm weather have relieved many, particularly in the agricultural sector of the state's economy; however, floods are expected throughout the state and, most importantly, the storm alone will not suffice to improve the drought's conditions.
For the past few months the Golden State had been going through its worst drought in 1,200 years. While last week some rains had started to sprinkle, there was still a long way to go until crops all around the West Coast state could recover from the drought.
Regarding the begining of the rains last week, meteorologist Jan Null (fromGolden Gate Weather Services) told USA Today that this new California storm weather was no more than "two drops" in the bucket, and that a lot more would be needed for the state to recover.
Now, according to AccuWeather, the state prepares for upcoming California storm weather that will be bringing floods, damaging winds and mudslides to the home of cities like Oakland and San Francisco; however, it will also bring a fresh air of comfort to the climatically traumatized region following such a long drought.
The South of the state, particularly in the coast area, will be where the smallest California storm weather will be going on, with an average between 1 and 3 inches of rain; the central region and the North, around the San Francisco area, will see a massive 3 to 5 inches of rain from just this storm.
According to Daily Breeze, this storm is predicted to last about 48 hours.
