Why Losing Weight is Harder When You Aged?

Weight gain- We've been there, in fact all of us. You might not notice that you've gained weight, but once in your life you did. This is especially true if the person reaches the age of 35 years old or 55 years old. Maintaining our weight is sometimes a very hard task for all of us because our lifestyle as we aged might changed. As the person adds years unto his age he tends to change his priorities too. This comes in the gaining of weight because we tend to change our focus.

So, here are the reasons why as we aged pounds are easier to add-on than to take off!

  • You sleep less as you aged. Have you noticed this to your mother or grandmother? They wake up early because they need to water their plants or they need to prepare breakfast or bake their favorite cake. They sleep late at night because they still need to watch their favorite show late evening. And because they are awake most of the time they feel starving and need to eat something. So, once in awhile they grab cookies, biscuits, bread, doughnuts, or anything just to satisfy their cravings. Major reason why losing weight at this age is too difficult.
  • Your metabolism is changing. When the person is younger they can digest any food easily and turn this into energy then consume the energy through doing different types of outdoor sports. If the person gets older anything that he eats will just stock up especially if the person is not always moving and won't consume the energy that his body converted from the foods that he has eaten. So, losing weight is not a piece of cake during this time. He needs to exert extra efforts just to achieve the weight he desired. Hence, it is always suggested that while young the person needs to practice proper exercise so that as he aged it's not difficult for him discipline himself in time of exercise.
