Michael Brown, Missouri Bar - A bar located in Missouri had the idea last week to make a shot special named after Michael Brown and the results the autopsy found on the 18-year-old from Ferguson.
The bar in question is called Mug Shots Pub, and is precisely in St. Joseph. It's said to be a spot "where sarcasm is always free." Still, the concept was taken a little bit too far this time.
The Missouri bar offered over the weekend a special that included: six shots of Jose Cinge for $10. Now, the offer is not a bad one, but the name of this special was: Michael Brown, CBS noted.
After the entire Ferguson case, Michael Brown had three autopsies, which stated that the 18-year-old was struck by at least six bullets. Hence, the "sarcasm" in this idea of the shots is quite clear. It was also not very welcomed.
"Missouri Bar offering a 'Michael Brown Shot Special' might not have a functioning brain," Barstool Sports posted on their Twitter account together with a picture of the board that had written down the offer from the bar.
Apart from this, demonstrators also hung outside the bar with signs and letting the establishment know that they wanted Michael Brown's name "be left in peace," NY Daily News reported.
To all these reactions, one of the owners from the Mug Shot Pub had a response.
"It's not meant to cause any harm. I should have thought a little more about it before I made it a shot special."
The other owner declined to be identified in order to protect his family and himself, but said that he took the idea from other bars in the area which implemented the same offer and it seemed to work fine for them.
The "Michael Brown Special" certainly didn't work for this Missouri bar.
