After turning into the biggest hit of the summer (and of the entire year), fans of the movie that gave the world Rocket Raccoon and Groot can finally have the film at home: the "Guardians of the Galaxy" DVD has been officially released!
While the Marvel Cinematic Universe keeps expanding and every week there's news regarding yet another release in the Stan Lee mythology, like Benedict Cumberbatch's casting as Doctor Strange in an upcoming film or Krysten Ritter's new Jessica Jones show - and now, "The Guardians of the Galaxy" DVD and Blu-Ray are out!
Following the grand success of "Guardians of the Galaxy," the DVD had to be as spectacular as the movie that preceded it - and apparently that's just what it is! According to SuperHeroHype, the new home video release is possibly the best one to date in the Marvel movies, as it features some seriously cool Easter eggs.
According to Rotten Tomatoes, among the cool features on the "Guardians of the Galaxy" DVD are some deleted scenes, a few more that were longer and had pieces ultimately left on the editing room's floor.
The first main feature in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" DVD is "Guide To The Galaxy With James Gunn," where the film's director takes viewers and fans on a trip across the filming and the mythology of the movie, with a whole lot of interviews from the cast and crew and even 16 bit renditions of the movie's characters.
As the sequel draws nearer - "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" is set for a spring of 2017 release - audiences will cling to anything they've got around to hold on while the movie hits theaters, and the best way to do it so far is to go on for the DVD release of the first movie.
There's going to be a lot of rewatching of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" DVD from here to 2017!
