Green Day News: Band’s Jason White Was Diagnosed of Tonsil Cancer

The American Idiot band just made an announcement that their lead guitarist, Jason White was diagnosed with Tonsil Cancer but there is nothing to worry about because guitarist can still have a full recovery.

The band made an official statement on their Facebook account and according to their announcement, they have a news about their band member, White and they want to announce it right away before other people spread the news. They said that White underwent a routine called tonsillectomy and the doctor found a treatable form of tonsil cancer. They are so grateful that the tonsil cancer was discovered on its early stage and it can still be treated and White can make a full and speedy recovery. The band also asked their fans to join them in sending support and love to their band mate and White is in need of positive healing vibes during this time.

White was part of the band since the early 90s, it was then when he joined Billie Joe Armstrong in a side project that Armstrong is working on. After that, White became the band's second guitarist on their Warning tour then he became Green Day's lead guitarist. White became an official member in 2012.

Meanwhile, in The Guardian article, the magazine wrote that Armstrong gave a hint regarding their upcoming album. Armstrong, posted a photo of an image reading "Green Day 15" with a caption saying that he is at the hardware store somewhere in Queens and that is on his mind. Green Day is also set to be included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April next year.

Aside from Green Day, White is also playing lead guitar for Foxboro Hot Tubs and the Network as his side projects.

Green Day is a punk rock band composed of Billie Joe Armstrong, Tre Cook, Mike Dirnt and Jason White and was formed in 1987.
