Colbert Report Last Show Approaches … And Barack Obama Will Be One Of Last Guests On Comedy Central Show!

As The Colbert Report's last show draws nearer and nearer, it's obvious that Comedy Central's planning to bid Stephen Colbert farewell in the best way possible before he goes off to take David Letterman's job: this week's shows will start with a bang, having president Barack Obama as the first guest!

While the world of comedy will be a less fun place after The Colbert Report's last show, there's still two more weeks before the character of "Stephen Colbert" retires from being a talk show host ... and these next two weeks will give him a good farewell!

According to CBS News, while the world's waiting for The Colbert Report's last show, Comedy Central's planning quite the goodbye for the famous comedian and social critic: this Monday, Colbert will be on a one-day visit to Washington D.C., where he is scheduled to be meeting up with president Barack Obama.

The scheduled program, which will be leading up to The Colbert Report's last show later this month, has been dubbed "Stephen Colbert Presents: Mr. Colbert Goes to Washington D.C. Ya Later, Legislator: Partisan is Such Sweet Sorrow: A Colbert Victory Lap, '014" by the famous host, who will be taking David Letterman's place in The Late Show next year.

As reminded by CNN, there are only eight episodes left of the famous satirical talk show before The Colbert Report's last show on December 18, when he will be retiring the character that made him famous: an extremely conservative Republican with a huge admiration towards Fox News figure Bill O'Reilly.

Of course, it won't be the first time that president Obama goes to The Colbert Report, as says The Hollywood Reporter. When he was still a Senator back in 2008, he appeared via satellite along with Hillary Clinton and John Edwards, at the time of the primaries; later on, in 2009, already as president, he made a proper visit to the show.

Still, sadly for fans, the days of The Colbert Report's last show are fast approaching.
