French Toast Crunch Coming Back - The question in a lot of people's minds was if the 90's "cereal form" French toast crunch would ever return. It's a fact now that indeed, it is back.
The announcement happened on Dec. 5, when General Mills used its blog to actually tell the world that their long awaited French Toast Crunch would be back.
"We have been overwhelmed by the consumer conversations, requests and passion for the cereal to come back. We value our fans and are so excited to be able to bring it back for them," said Waylon Good, marketing manager for General Mills.
Also, they included that the requests happened on social media mostly. A Facebook page was created, on Twitter people posted remembrances of the cereal and according to Fox CT, there was also a change.org petition.
The French Toast Crunch began selling in 1995 and was discontinued in 2006. After that, people could still get it in Canada, where it continued being sold. Even in EBay, people could find it. Yet, it was at hefty prices; up to $40.
What can be definitely presumed, though, is that people truly loved the French Toast Crunch if they went through all that trouble and even paid those prices to get their hands on a box.
Even after the announcement of the comeback, a lot of people showed their enthusiasm through Twitter.
"Can't front as soon as French Toast Crunch drop that's all I'm eating."
"My wish has come true. French Toast Crunch is my life," some of the users posted to support the matter.
General Mills said the resurgence of French Toast Crunch is happening at some retailers at the moment and in January 2015, a nationwide distribution will occur. They also encourage for users to ask the local store where they buy to carry it.
French Toast Crunch would be the second big comeback after Surge from Coca-Cola, which was also a drink popular in the 90's.
