Grammy Nominations 2015 Are Out, With Beyoncé, Pharrell And Taylor Swift Leading Nods!

Besides "Jingle Bells" and Christmas, the end of the year marks the start of the beginning of next year's award season and, to start them with a bang, the Grammy nominations 2015 are out, honoring the best in music of 2014!

The new Grammy nominations of 2015 are officially out now, according to The Independent. While the British newspaper was absolutely delighted to see that English singer-songwriter Sam Smith was the only male nominee in the "Record of the Year" category, the rest of the news regarding January's award show are no less interesting!

According to The New York Daily News, the Grammy nominations of 2015 show a few strong contenders besides Smith: Beyoncé grabbed a total of 6 nominations for this ceremony (she's now the most nominated female artist in the history of the Grammys, beating Dolly Parton), tying with Smith and Pharrell Williams with the most nods.

Other artists in the Grammy nominations 2015 are: newcomer Iggy Azalea, country star turned pop diva Taylor Swift, Sia, U2, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Meghan Trainor and Bastille, among many others. This has certainly been an exciting year for music!

Although Taylor Swift's "1989" album came out too late for it to be eligible to the year's list, her hit song "Shake it Off" definitely made it to the Grammy nominations of 2015. This year, the eligible nominees were those released from October 1 of 2013 through September 30 of 2014.

In some other interesting news regarding the Grammy nods, Miley Cyrus got her first nod ever for "Bangerz," according to CNN. She's coming in to the awards like a wrecking ball!

Among the nominees there's also a few surprises: anti-mainstream artist Beck received four nods in the award show, and comedy legend Joan Rivers, who passed away earlier this year, received a posthumous nomination in the Spoken Word Album category, with "Diary Of A Mad Diva."

We can't wait for the ceremony on February 8!
