WSU Student Food Elevator - It's still a mystery how it happened that Brooke Baures, a 21 year-old student from Wisconsin State University was found dead in a dumbwaiter.
The unfortunate event happened on Dec. 1. At about 8 p.m. police responded to a 911 call at the WingDam Saloon and Grill in Fountain City. When they arrived at the scene, they found Baures' body in the food elevator connected to the kitchen, Fox News noted.
Apparently, the elevator was one of 3 feet by 3 feet and not intended for employees to enter.
Also, Fountain City Police officer Jason Mork has been conducting interviews with half of the employers and costumers present at the Saloon on Mon. night and so far, nobody saw how the WSU student entered the elevator at all, according to the Star Tribune.
At WSU, Brooke Baures was a treasured student and athlete.
"She's one of those once-in-a-lifetime athletes. Her work ethic inspired everybody in the gym because she went all out and gave her all every practice."
"She was such a gift, she loved life," said Becki Rolbiecki, Baures' gymnast coach, who also shared that the WSU student was a great team player and a very kind person as well, CBS News reported.
Police continue investigating the matter and conducting interviews about how exactly Baures became trapped in the food elevator, but apparently one thing that was ruled out was foul play.
There don't seem to be any indications of it. Still, the autopsy results were pending and no sure answer can be given until then.
But, there doesn't seem any particular motive for any sort of criminal activity in the case. Rather, the authorities have highlighted several times that this was surely an accident of some sort.
For that reason, the WSU student case is more based on seeing how she got to the food elevator other than looking for a guilty person behind the matter.
